Logic Town is published by Divide The Plunder Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, Office One, 1 Coldbath Square, London EC1R 5HL. Divide The Plunder Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. For anything in this policy, contactcontact@dividetheplunder.com.
Logic Town creates an account for you through Firebase Authentication so your progress can sync across devices and survive reinstalling. By default this is an anonymous account — it identifies your save data but contains no name, email or contact details. You may optionally sign in with Google Play Games, Facebook or Apple, in which case we receive a user identifier from that service, and a display name and avatar where the service provides them.
Against that account identifier we store your game progress in Firebase Realtime Database: puzzle progress and scores, daily challenge results, story progress, diorama state, event progress, bonus game state, in-game currency balances, and whether you have removed adverts.
When you first open the game we ask your age and record your advertising choice. We store the age you give us, the fact that you accepted these terms and which version, and whether you opted in or out of personalised advertising. We use your age only to decide whether to request child-directed treatment from advertising providers.
We and our providers collect technical and usage information: device model, operating system version, language and region, app version, a device or installation identifier, session times, and in-game events such as starting or completing a puzzle. This tells us which parts of the game people play and where they get stuck.
When the game crashes or errors, Firebase Crashlytics collects a crash report: device state, operating system version, a stack trace and an installation identifier.
The mobile game is supported by advertising. Our advertising and attribution providers use your device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA), IP address, and coarse device information to select and measure adverts, and to work out which advert or campaign led you to install the game. On Android we also read the Google Play install referrer for the same purpose.
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or receive your payment card details. We receive confirmation that a purchase completed, the product bought, and a receipt we validate, so we can grant what you paid for.
We do not sell your personal data. We use the following providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
| Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Google — Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions | Accounts and cloud save |
| Google — Analytics for Firebase | Gameplay analytics |
| Google — Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reporting |
| Google — Play Services and Play Games | Platform services and optional sign-in |
| Google — AdMob | Advertising |
| Unity — LevelPlay (formerly ironSource) and Unity Ads | Advertising mediation and advertising |
| Unity — Analytics and In-App Purchasing | Analytics and purchase handling |
| AppsFlyer | Install attribution and advertising measurement |
| Meta — Facebook SDK | Optional Facebook sign-in, and app event measurement |
| Apple | Optional Sign in with Apple, and App Store purchases (iOS) |
Note that the Facebook SDK is configured to log app events and collect the advertising identifier when the game starts, independently of whether you use Facebook sign-in.
You can turn personalised advertising off at any time in the game Settings screen. You will still see adverts, but they will not be selected using your advertising identifier. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device settings — on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Where you tell us you are under 13 we request child-directed treatment from our advertising providers, which disables personalised advertising and restricts the data those providers may use.
Logic Town is suitable for a general audience and we expect some of our players to be children. We ask every player age before collecting anything beyond what is needed to run the game, and where a player tells us they are a child we automatically disable personalised advertising and request child-directed treatment from our advertising and analytics providers.
We do not knowingly ask children for their name, email address or any other contact detail, and the game does not require one to play. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contactcontact@dividetheplunder.com and we will delete it.
We keep your account and saved game for as long as your account exists. If you do not play for 24 months we may delete your saved game. Crash reports and analytics are kept according to our providers retention settings.
You can ask us to delete your account and everything associated with it by emailingcontact@dividetheplunder.com. We will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your saved game permanently and it cannot be recovered.
If you are in the UK or EU you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Contactcontact@dividetheplunder.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority in the EU.
If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information.
Our providers process data outside the UK and EU, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections to our providers and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy. If we make a material change we will tell you in the game before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
